Meet Alisa

Alisa is a photojournalist and documentarian based in San Luis Obispo. She studied photojournalism in San Francisco and worked on ETC. Magazine as both a photographer and photo editor. In 2020, Alisa and Stephen founded COMMUNITY ROOTS PROJECT, a journalistic platform that fosters community through visual storytelling and activism. Alisa’s passion is to tell stories that focus on marginalized groups in small communities and to create spaces for people to be in community with one another.
